For almost 150 years, Daynes Music has been an essential part of our region's cultural fabric. For example, Royal W. Daynes, President, 1902 - 1950, was one of the Founders of the Utah Symphony; Gerald R. Daynes, President, 1950 - 1967, was an active supporter of the Utah Civic Ballet, which later became Ballet West, of which he was Founding Board Member; and Gerald R. "Skip" Daynes, President, 1967 - Present, has been an active supporter of the Utah Opera, the "Pops", the Gina Bachauer Competition (Co-Founder), and countless other organizations, both cultural and academic.
