Daynes Music Company, in business since 1862, has become more than just a retailer of fine pianos. Over the decades, Daynes Music has become a focus for fine musical arts in the Salt Lake Metropolitan area, and the Intermountain West. "We've noticed that people come to us seeking information about the arts community that they can't get elsewhere," says Mr. Gerald R. "Skip" Daynes, Fourth Generation President of Daynes Music Company. "Until now, we've helped them out on an informal basis, and will continue to do so, but now they'll have a place to go to find out about the arts community here in our region," according to Skip. The Community pages launches initially with items like specials, news, an events calendar that mainly features events at Daynes's Steinway Recital hall, friends & associates, and links to other calendars and venues. "But there will be more to come," according to Matt Bryner, Sales Associate at Daynes, and the person who conceived the new section of the popular web site. "Like the web, this will be ongoing, constantly evolving to better serve the needs of the cultural community here in Salt Lake City and surrounding communities."
