Piano Tuning and Technical Services
Piano technicians are a special breed. Their art combines a performance-level knowledge of music, an exceptional ear, plus an intimate understanding of the physics and mechanics of the piano. Working on a Steinway offers the greatest challenge and reward for a technician because of its wide range of expressive capabilities. Our technicians are all Steinway technicians, and are pleased to help you raise the level of any piano you purchase from us, new or used, to its full potential.

Clint Taylor - Piano Technician. Clint began his career at Daynes Music in 1999 working for the sheet music department. Jared Jaccard - Click for a larger view. |
Jared Jaccard - Piano Technician. When Jared first walked into Daynes Music it was because the gravitational pull of the Steinway pianos within was far too powerful to resist. After 23 years of studying classical piano he feels that there is simply no other piano so worthy of the countless hours of his life and love invested in music-making.
Jared's passion for great pianos is such that he's not content merely to play on them, he also wants to participate behind the scenes. This desire has led to studies in tuning and regulation in order to help bring each instrument to their full potential.
As he approaches his fifth year with Daynes Music, Jared enjoys learning from master technicians Clint Taylor and Russell Sorensen. In February of 2008 he attended the technical academy at the Steinway factory in New York where he enjoyed learning from some of the best technicians in the business.
Music remains his first passion, and Jared continues his piano studies with Vera Watanabe, who he feels to be the greatest teacher and mentor of his life, in any field of study. |
