Vladimir Rebikov, a late romantic Russian pianist and composer (he studied at the Moscow Conservatory with a student of Tchaikovsky), is most celebrated today as the author of several delightful miniatures for children. These compositions are as effective as learning material as they are in recital performance. Peters Editions has recently published several of them in a new album continuing the legacy of this gifted composer.
